Hello Brothers and Sisters,

At the Annual General Meeting (AGM) in March 2012, you elected me as President of PSAC Union of National Employees (UNE) Local 70125.

On April 30th, my union affiliation was transferred to PSAC Government Services Union (GSU). This is a result of the recent transfer of my indeterminate position to Shared Services Canada (SSC). I was told my union affiliation would not change, or I would not have run for election in Local 70125. Unfortunately, I had no other choice but to step down as President. I apologize for the continued disruption in the executive positions in your Local.

As per the Local Bylaws, the 1st Vice President assumes the duties of the President until an interim election is held. I am pleased that Gordon McAllister has accepted the position and is currently the Acting President of Local 70125.
